What happens when....

    .....you put a camera over each eye (camera facing out), with a screen behind it, and that screen is displayed 5" away from each respective eye? Kind of like those Google Cardboard goggles that are popular now, except instead of a smartphone with a split screen and one camera .....it's one camera over each eye. Is that going to cause a 3D stereoscopic effect?
    I'm a layman who wants to experiment and this forum is my launchpad.
