    Hi all,
I'm experimenting with 2 Olympus still cameras to make 3D movies. QuickTime won't play in STMMaker. I converted them to WMV (which STMMaker is supposed to accept), but when trying to open them in STMM I get an error message stating that the files do not have the necessary "FourCC" codes. Anyone know of a way around this prob?

Hi woodpusher, "FourCC" means "four character code" and is a way of identifying video codecs. It could be that when converting the video file the correct information to identify the codec used wasn't added.

You could try converting them to another format using some other software (perhaps media coder) : http://download.cnet.com/MediaCoder/3000-2140_4-10595575.html. That should do the trick :).

    Hi Ian,
Thanks for the tip. QuickTime converted to AV1 certainly does the trick.
