Anyone have experience or knowledge in this? Looking to do an install using a panasonic AG-3DA1 connected to a monitor in portrait mode so the viewer can see themselves in 3D wearing passive glasses.

That's a really good idea, it's like a mirror but you could view yourself from any angle and not be 'flipped'. The process should be fairly straightforward. You should be able to connect the camera output to any software it came with for viewing direct feedback. Otherwise, there are probably any number of free 3D viewing/recording/playback programs online. To use passive feedback you need a monitor that was created for that purpose (only certain monitors are built for passive polarized 3D viewing). Once everything is set up, you can go to the graphic options for the computer and go to rotation and set it for 90 degrees. Then everything should be flipped so you can turn the monitor 90 degrees and see things the way you like. I've never done it before but I think this general procedure should work well.
