    Hi,

I am having NX720 - 40 inch TV and I wasn't be able to play correctly all the side-by-side 3D movies.
In my TV settings there is no option under the 3d Menu.

Can anyone help me if you have any fix for this problem?

However I am able to play 3D contents from Sony via internet. The only problem is with the Side-By-Side contents.
Can someone help me to fix this issue?

    Cheers

    Hi Jag,
Yes I have the same problem with the EX800 models. It's a firmware error. EX720 models work fine and their on-screen menus look identical.
I have asked Sony to provide an update. (No answer yet.)
All they need to do is bypass the code that tests whether the source is "3D compatible".
Side-by-side videos don't need this test, as they discovered with the EX720.
Will let you know if I get any answer from Sony.

I should have mentioned, that there are two "work-arounds".

    1. Connect up a PC with a dual-output "3D compatible" graphics card such as Nvidia.

    2. Connect up a "3D compatible" PVR such as the STRONG brand. Copy sbs videos to a portable hard drive or USB memory stick.
The PVR will play these and the Sony accepts them and allows the menu to switch to sbs mode.

    I use HDMI 1.4 cables.

A third work-around, is to use a blue Ray player which has USB and internet connection. (I have a Sony BDP-S470.)
SBS videos all work correctly from a USB chip, hard drive or directly from You Tube.
