The 3D starter kit for this set comes with a converter box, emitter and 2 pairs of glasses and a demo DVD. It works just fine, but when I put the HDMI from my cable box to the converter box to watch the PGA tournament, the picture on my screen was Side by Side. Turning on the glasses did nothing. I'm wondering do I have to notify Cox cable that I have a 3D set? I already have their upgraded HD cable box.

As far as I know, the starter kit (3DC-1000?) for that TV is supposed to convert any of the main stereo formats (side by side, checkerboard, top bottom or frame sequential) to be displayed correctly on the Mitsubishi 73 DLP.

Does any 3D content work so far?
