I can't afford to buy the wrong thing here. Most of the info I find is attached to ads and seems suspect. I've only got 1 chance to buy the right type of 3D TV.
    1. Do you get a much lesser 3D image with a passive 3D TV?
    2. Are the active TV glasses known to cause headaches?
    3. How do you charge them? Is it off of a TV port, if so what if that port breaks? Are there portable charging stations?
Any info or advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Tim welcome to the forum,i have read answers to all your questions and they all contradict each other, headaches from active, half resolution from passive every one has there own opinion and i gave up trying to sort the answer and approached my purchase a different way.
First size i wanted at least 50inch and then price was a consideration,i decided that 3D would be a add on feature and 95% of my viewing would be 2D,so in the end i opted for a 51inch samsung activ plasma 3D no other set gave the the size and price i wanted.
