Is there a standard for 3D video recording? What I mean by this is that photos seem to use the MPO format, but is there something similar if I record a movie? I have only seem AVI/MPG/MOV files with split video or interlaced frames so far.

FWIW, I don't own a 3D camera, but I would like to at some point soon. :)

    Hi
    I don't think there is a standard.
However there are also many different 2D videos (like .avi .mp4 .mov) so hopefully this won't be a problem.
I've made some 3D videos over the time: http://www.3d.wep.dk/my_3D_videos.html
I wouldn't mind 1 standard and 1 codec - that would eliminate videos not playing and BSOD's :)
