There's some exciting news for lovers of the Bond film series... the next film is going to be shot in 3D! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/film/2804101/New-Bond-film-will-be-in-3D.html Apparently the date has been put back a few months so that they can get everything in place. I can't wait
I actually thought that the Quantum of Solace was a really good film - as good as the Bourne films... It's just 'different' to the original Bond movies.
Last I heard, the Bond franchise was tied up in the MGM bankruptcy. There were dire predictions that the most successful franchise in film history might be ended by the MGM receivership. BTW, I loved Quantum of Solace also... I was surprised at the generally negative reviews. I love the more down-to-earth, grittier Bond. Much more like the books.
That's a real shame if that is the case, as the renewed Bond films were great fun to watch. Casino Royale was my favorite (Eva Green ), although I did still enjoy Quantum of Solace. I totally agree about the grittier role, it's much more appealing and true to the books. I've read the original 14, but none of the ones by other authors - I'm tempted to give the new "Sebastian Faulks" Bond book a try and see how that goes.
